SPONSORSHIP BRIEF TEMPLATE

Copy each block into your campaign post. Briefs that skip blocks get scrolled past. Fill all seven and athletes can say yes in one read.

1. THE ONE LINE

Lead with what the athlete is being asked to do, not with your company history.

  • Template: We are looking for [sport] athletes in [city] to [action] for [product or campaign].
  • Example: We are looking for boxing and CrossFit athletes in Dubai to post two training reels featuring our recovery drink.
  • Keep it under 25 words. If an athlete cannot tell what the job is in one read, they scroll past.

2. WHO YOU WANT

Be specific. Vague targeting produces irrelevant applications and wasted review time.

  • Sports: list every sport you will genuinely consider.
  • Location: emirate or city, plus whether remote content is acceptable.
  • Audience size: give a real range, for example 5,000 to 50,000 followers. Do not write any size.
  • Stage: emerging, semi pro, national level, or open.

3. DELIVERABLES

Count them. An athlete cannot price a vague ask, so they will not apply.

  • Format: reel, story set, carousel, appearance, or event day.
  • Quantity: for example two reels plus three stories.
  • Usage: organic only, or paid amplification, and for how long.
  • Approvals: how many rounds of feedback before the post goes live.
  • Exclusivity: whether the athlete must avoid competing brands, and for how long.

4. BUDGET

Publishing a real number is the single biggest driver of application volume.

  • Cash: state the amount per athlete, not a total pool.
  • Product: state retail value and what is actually shipped.
  • Mixed: split it out, for example AED 1,500 plus product worth AED 400.
  • If budget genuinely depends on reach, publish a band and say what moves you to the top of it.

5. TIMELINE

  • Applications close: a real date.
  • Selection: when the athlete hears back, even if the answer is no.
  • Content due: the date assets must be delivered.
  • Go live: the posting window.

6. WHAT GOOD LOOKS LIKE

Two or three sentences that let the athlete self select.

  • Tone: for example raw training footage, not polished studio work.
  • Must include: product visible in frame, campaign hashtag, on screen mention.
  • Must avoid: competitor products in shot, gambling or alcohol adjacency, unverified health claims.

7. HOW TO APPLY

  • Ask for one thing only: a short note on why this campaign fits them.
  • Do not ask for contact details in the application. RAMBO blocks them until the deal is agreed, and asking wastes the athlete's message.
  • Confirm that payment runs through escrow so the athlete knows they are protected.
